STAECO Nondestructive Testing Center


STAECO nondestructive testing center was established in 1999. After 20 years of development, it has successively obtained NDT licenses from CAAC, FAA, JCAB, EASA and other civil aviation authorities. NADCAP certification was obtained in 2018.


There are 15 technicians in the testing center, including 1 with ASNT level III qualification, 4 with CAAC level III qualification, 2 with CAAC NDT experts, 2 with national senior technical title and 6 with intermediate technical title.

At present, nondestructive testing center has 65 sets of equipment, 294 test blocks and 300 probes, which can meet the NDT requirements of B737 / 767, CRJ200 / 700, ARJ21, A319 / 320, SAAB340, ERJ190, G450, Q400 and other models. Among them, OMNISCAN MX phased array detector, FLIR T335 infrared thermal imaging detector, SDMS laser scratch detector, BBT100 (ELCH) laminate inspection system, XLG4 borescope system and other advanced equipment are in the forefront of domestic civil aviation maintenance base. STAECO is the only maintenance base in East China that has the capability of in-depth NDT for branch line aircraft and trunk line aircraft.

NDT center provides NDT testing services to the aircraft maintenance company, covering 737 series, A319 / 320, CRJ200 / 700, ARJ21 and other models. We will provide convenient NDT services for our customers with fine work quality and efficient testing cycle.


Testing capabilities include:


Ultrasonic testing: metal structure crack inspection; material thickness measurement; composite material disbonding, delamination inspection; water inspection in honeycomb structure Eddy current testing: surface fatigue crack inspection; internal multilayer structure crack inspection ; conductivity measurement; fastener hole inspection Magnetic particle testing: hub screw inspection; various parts inspection; landing gear overhaul inspection

Penetrant testing: castings, forgings, weldments and machined parts inspection; in-situ inspection on aircraft; aircraft components overhaul inspection

Radiographic testing: aircraft structural assembly inspection; aircraft composite honeycomb structure inspection

Infrared thermal image testing: water inspection in aircraft composite materials
